Symphonic RAP-Sody
Symphonic RAP-Sody was our latest collaboration with The Glasgow Barons, where two brand new works were commissioned from composers Aidan Teplitsky & Aileen Sweeney involving a string orchestra and rappers Solareye & Empress!
The project explores issues around the local community in Govan, being shut out of the Govan Graving Docks by its private owner in preparation for development, after years of being left accessible to the general public, and largely unmanaged.
These were live recordings made on the 13th of July, recorded in Govan Salvation Army Church and also involved a series of interviews conducted at the same venue! We recorded this concert using a mixture of Sony cameras such as; FX6, FX3, A7IV, A7Siii and an A7C, for audio we used Line Audio CM4s, OM1s & Aston Microphones running into a Focusrite Clarett+ & Octopre.
