xx, Lotte: die Leiden der jungen Charlotte
Elea Bekkers approached Zip Tie earlier in 2023, with an idea to record a brand new album XX, Lotte.
With over several months of planning it all came together during October 2023, in the beautiful Stockbridge Church, Edinburgh - Where we spent a day and half recording 17 tracks and creating 3 promotional videos!

xx, Lotte is a brand new song cycle and a contemporary romantic, feminist commentary on the depiction of women in Classical literature, especially in die Leiden des jungen Werther (the sufferings of young Werther) by Goethe. It sings a picture of a woman who is not madonna, mother or whore, but human.
