How much does it cost to record an album?
Classical album recording starts from £3,000 for a single session with editing and mastering, and from £4,000 for multi-session projects with session photography and promotional video included. How much does concert filming cost?
Single camera concert filming starts from £1,250 including edit and colour grade. Multi-camera 4K filming with audio recording included starts from £1,850. Full production packages with artist films and social content are quoted per project. See our Concert Filming page for details.
Can you record and film at the same time?
Yes, that is the core of what we do. One team handles live concert recording and multi-camera concert filming together, with microphone placement and camera angles planned in the same conversation. It means one setup, one brief, one invoice, and a result where the audio and video belong together.
Can you livestream our concert?
Yes. Broadcast-quality livestreaming starts from £1,000 for a single camera stream with professional audio, and from £2,500 for multi-camera broadcasts with live vision mixing, delivered to YouTube, Vimeo, your own website or a private link. Every stream is recorded for archive use.
Do you make music videos and artist films?
Yes. We produce music videos, artist films, behind-the-scenes documentaries and EPK content for album releases and artist campaigns. Recent work includes films for Sean Shibe on Pentatone, featured by Gramophone as their Video of the Day, and Beth Taylor's debut album on Linn Records.
How long does delivery take?
Audition recordings are typically delivered within 48 hours. Concert recordings, concert films and music videos usually take two to four weeks depending on the edit. Same-night highlights delivery is available for concerts and events that need footage immediately, and we have delivered broadcast-ready concert films within 24 hours of the final note.
Where do you record?
Almost anywhere the music sounds good. Most of our work happens on location in concert halls, churches, cathedrals and historic buildings. Recent projects have taken us across Scotland and the UK, and we are equally at home in a village church as a major concert hall. If you have a venue in mind, we will make it work. If you need help choosing one, we know the good rooms.
Do you only work in Scotland?
No. We are based in Glasgow and Edinburgh and work throughout Scotland, from the Borders to the Highlands and Islands. We also work regularly across the north of England including Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle and Liverpool, throughout the rest of the UK, and internationally. Travel is simply included in the quote, and for many projects a Scotland-based team costs less than bringing a crew from London.
What equipment do you use?
Broadcast-quality microphones and 4K Sony cameras, with editing, mixing and mastering handled in-house. Stereo, surround and Dolby Atmos mixing are available.
Do you work with students?
Yes. Audition and competition recordings start from £500, and the standard of care is the same as our label work.
Who owns the recordings?
You do. We deliver final files in whatever format you need, and we are happy to sign agreements covering usage where labels or institutions require them.
